In 2022, despite the difficulties of the world economic situation, Vietnam's coffee exports still ranked second in the world (just behind Brazil) with an output of nearly 1.8 million tons, to more than 70 countries and territories, earning nearly 4 billion USD; in which Dak Lak coffee with the brand and geographical indication "Buon Ma Thuot Coffee" accounts for over 30% of the country's total coffee exports. This is the basis for Dak Lak to build Buon Ma Thuot into a "world coffee destination" based on its unique strengths.
