Ho Chi Minh City’s total newly registered capital, adjusted and contributed capital to buy shares of foreign investors in the first half of the year reached 2.18 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 60.07%, according to the City Department of Planning and Investment.

The number of newly-established enterprises in the first half of the year set new record of 76,233, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Export of agro-forestry-fishery products recorded a remarkable growth to 27.88 billion USD in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

On June 29, four commercial banks in Ho Chi Minh City signed new contracts and re-signed credit contracts worth about 4,663 billion VND with 20 enterprises in the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (Hepza).
