(CPV) - On the occasion of the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, national liberation hero and cultural celebrity, a wide range of activities have been held by overseas Vietnamese and foreign agencies and international media to mark the important event.

Various Vietnamese representative agencies in India worked alongside Vietnam Airlines to collaborate with Indian authorities to facilitate a flight aimed at bringing home approximately 340 Vietnamese nationals who had been left stranded in India.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine held a tree-planting event at its headquarters to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s 130th birthday (May 19th).

Deputy Foreign Minister and Chairman of the State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese (SCOV) Dang Minh Khoi handed over VND4.6 billion collected by overseas Vietnamese individuals and organisations to the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee at a ceremony held in Hanoi on May 19th.
