Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to Singapore affirmed the high level of political trust between the two countries, setting clear directions for the bilateral relationship in the next step.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan said that on the basis of the good cooperation between Vietnam and Canada, the relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and Canada has made strong development steps. Canada is the 22nd largest investor out of 117 countries and territories investing in the city, with 119 projects and an investment capital of approximately USD130 million.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai affirmed the good relationship between the two countries, in which Ho Chi Minh City and Frankfurt have developed cooperation in many fields. Two-way trade turnover between Ho Chi Minh City and Germany in 2022 reached USD1.8 billion. Currently, Germany has 230 investment projects in Ho Chi Minh City with a total investment capital of USD363 million, ranking 14th out of 117 countries and territories investing in the city.

Minister Counsellor Nguyen Hoang Nguyen, deputy head of the Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to the United Nations (UN), on February 13 emphasised the importance of putting the people at the centre of development policies, supporting vulnerable groups, promoting innovation in education and training, enhancing labourers’ capacity to self-learn and adapt to meet the requirements of the new context.
