The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) plays a significant role in the positive development of digital transformation in Vietnam in 2023, stressed Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang at the body’s December 29 conference of year-end review and new-year task deployment.

The Hanoi New Year concert will take place at the Opera House on January to celebrate the New Year 2024. Italian soprano Angela Nisi will perform at the Hanoi New Year concert.

Diverse cultural activities will take place in the capital city of Hanoi to welcome New Year 2024. The highlight will be countdown programmes organised at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and in Dinh Tien Hoang Street; and Heineken Countdown Party 2024 at the Cach Mang Thang Tam (August Revolution) Square in front of the Opera House.

According to Hanoi City People’s Committee, the pedestrian space around Hoan Kiem Lake and neighbouring areas as well as pedestrian streets in the Old Quarter will be available from 7pm on December 29 to midnight on January 1, 2024, instead of only weekend as usual to serve local residents and visitors during the 2024 New Year holiday.
